Donald L. Kotz, Senior Master Sergeant, USAF (retired), is a nationally recognized stained glass artist specializing in original military and patriotic stained glass panels for over 20 years. His work is on display in the USS Intrepid Museum in New York and the Los Angeles Folk Art Museum.

 

He has designed and created stained glass art for the Air Force Thunderbirds, the USAF Surgeon General, the White House staff, Wilford Hall Medical Center, and innumerable senior military officials. In addition to traditional stained glass panels, Don also creates stained glass kaleidoscopes, magic wands, and 3 dimensional figures. He teaches stained glass for the Southwest Independent School District Adult Education Program and he conducts seminars in advanced techniques at the Stained Glass Crafter’s Workbench, a local stained glass studio. He also gives private lessons. 

 

He was recently a featured guest on the “San Antonio Living” show with Tanji Patton. Don is originally from Monticello, Iowa. He retired from the Air Force in 1991, and is now head of Contract Services at Wilford Hall Medical Center. He is also a professional blackjack dealer.
